3-5

Sadly, this is the last day.....and it was a perfect one. The weather has been great the whole time (Thank you, God!), but today was especially nice.

My knees are a bit sore from walking yesterday, so just a short beach walk this morning.  Saw a beautiful green fish, but don't think the pictures turned out well. Also saw a green pencil fish, which was cool.

Here are pictures of the resort and our villa. I was talking with someone on the beach the other day and she couldn't believe we stayed on the ground floor on the beach and I told her I wouldn't have it any other way. Its our favorite!!!

After that....again.....just laid out at the beach. We really have done nothing.....even did most of the shopping on the beach this year.

Spent the evening gathering things and packing. Makes me sad, but so glad we had such gorgeous weather!

Talking tonight,......I have cooked most breakfasts and all but two evenings. We went out twice....once Italian here at the resort and then once to Carlos and Charley's.

Now let's hope tomorrow goes as well.
And then........until next year!!

3-6

Travel Home---
Headed out about 10:00. We got through check-in and security quickly and ate at Bubba Gumps (as usual).
Headed to Minneapolis...this flight was better, having individual movies.

We got into Minneapolis a couple of minutes early and again got through Immigration and Customs smoothly.

Jord picked us up and we had a wonderful meal at Bucca's. People there were: Jordan, Sarah, Phyllis, Kevin, Zach and Greg.

We got back to the airport with all kinds of time to spare.
We knew something was wrong when they didn't start boarding on time and you could tell the Delta rep was getting agitated. Yes, indeed........flight canceled....no pilot....but of course, we didn't find this out until nearly 10:00....or at least what was going to happen thereafter.

They put us up at the Holiday Inn, as usual. It was really quite nice this time...better than I remember it. So the stay wasn't so bad...since we always pack clean shirts, underwear and a few toiletries in our carry-ons. The only really sad thing was we had to miss Olivia and Izzy's first Piano Festival. Really bummed about that.

Got on the 1:45 flight and home around 3:00 on Saturday (instead of Friday)
Now comes the recuperation time.

Overall a Great Trip!!.....the weather was beautiful every single day.

In the future:-----pack more coverups.....less shorts/capri.

3-4

Had an awful, really awful night. Every time I laid down, I started coughing...eventually just gave up sleeping at all..........Suffice it to say, it made for a difficult day.

Today's sunrise

I love the ripples the waves leave

I did take a couple of long(er) walks today. On my early morning, I found this little crab just having a great time.

While walking, I also saw this...I couldn't believe it...this is what we do on our vacation in Mx.....sit on the beach and text???? Geezzz......

Kitty was back again tonight checking in.....just like he belongs (actually he belongs to the cook and we saw him earlier at his "home")

3-3

Nothing today, but a beach massage!!

Here are Gladys and Jonna, the massage therapists on the beach.

This is Rosario, our housekeeper

While watching tv before bed, Dale noticed a kitty looking in. Sat on our deck for a long time and when I went to bed, he was curled up on one of our deck chairs. (I looked at past years and he has been around before)

3-2

Woke up with a terrible earache, sore throat and cough today....argh!!....So I went to the store upstairs and got some cough syrup and listerine. Seemed to help a lot....BUT...the cough syrup must have made me drowsy, cause I fell asleep on the beach before Dale got up...thus no sunscreen on my back and ouch....yes, the first real burn of this year. Out comes the aloe. I'm usually pretty careful, so kind of bummed.

Talked about another beach massage, but Dale wants to wait until tomorrow.

As I walk around, I still cannot get over the beauty of the gardens. They get to me every year!!

And even though we miss our iguanas inside the resort, I do get a kick out of the turtles.

This one came right up to us as if he wanted to be pet.

We ate at the new Italian restaurant. It was OK....Dale's was better than mine.

There are some bushes they have shaped into puppies?.....I've never noticed them and probably wouldn't have except a kid pointed it out to me~...go figure.

3-1

Ah.....Sunday morning....nice ...quiet...or NOT
Up at 5:00 and already by then (and its pitch dark until nearly 7:00 now)----there were three men on the beach visiting and having discussions. No problem, but they were so damn loud. If I'd had kids here, I would have been upset as I'm sure they would have awoken them.

And it certainly also took away from my love of sitting on the deck and listening to the soft waves and peacefulness. Argh
To top it off, I seem to have awoken with a nasty earache and sore throat...hoping this will pass.

But the rest of the day was fine.....nice, sunny, warm....ahhh.....just can't get enough of it.

Had another Welcome party and again, nothing real exciting. It does seem particularly crowded this upcoming week. Seems more children.....both little ones and teenagers.

2-28

Saturday is when people change over....some leave, some come.....we just stayed put.

We also didn't go far as I was still hurting pretty bad from the previous day's walking.

Made another trip to Walmart for next week's groceries, but other than that....not a thing!

WoW!----how can we get lazier?
Just hung around the beach and pool all day. Dale went to aerobics, but other than that....

2-26

An even lazier day!!!
The weather predicted rain from 12-3 pm and big storms between 4-6. Around 1:00 there was a brief shower and that was it!! So another beautiful day in paradise.

Dale continues in water aerobics and I continue to try to walk the beach....which was less successful today after shopping yesterday.

Sunrise

Can YOU find the fish in these pictures??

Another view of the sunrise

What we do all day...
the rain storm---

2-25

Got up and spent most of the day in the sun...just can't beat it.
But then it even got long for me, so we decided to go out for supper.
We went to Carlos & Charley's and had a really good time.

While "in town", we even got most of our souvenirs

I never get tired of the beauty of the gardens around here.
They are amazing.

Day 3- 2/23/15

This was truly a lazy, lazy day.
I tried to walk sunrise, but didn't get too far.

Sunrise

But this is the view for most of our day!

We just hung around the beach and took "baby" walks when my knees would let me.
And for those who have asked......nope, water exercise doesn't work either.

First full day---getting settled

First, of course, is having to listen to our concierge..ugh...the usual song and dance about membership.

Then off to Walmart....even that went smoothly and we got out in a reasonable time.

On the way home, we noticed a bunch of tents being put up by the lagoon bike/walking trail. After unloading the groceries, we decided to check it out. It was like an Arts in the Park!!....very cool. I found some earrings I really wanted to get, but decided to wait. We wandered throughout it and then decided to come home and come back for supper.

We came back to the Villa and watched the Welcome Party......gets more boring every ear, but the beer and pop is free! We then later went back to the Arts Festival. I couldn't find my earrings again though we looked and looked. We wandered further to find the live entertainment. Who would've thunk we'd find classical ballet??

Took a few pictures on the way home

Jose' is getting pretty tame

Flowers growing out of trees

Jose' and we figure by not it must be a grandson!!
